Roaming Archos's grassy plains in small packs, mastodons maintain a fairly gentle temperament and rarely attack other creatures, despite their large size. If you happen to anger one, however, they won't hesitate to fight back.
Taming[]
The mastadon has the following preference: Herbivore Feed > Apple > Luck Clover, Cooking Herb, Grass, uncommon grass or rare grass > Blueberries.
K.O Strategy[]
Mastadons are always in groups so kill the ones you don't want first. Then use a Cobweb of Crystal Ball to slow it down, use Stone hook arrows or iron hook arrows to knock it out.
