Overview

These beasts are the kings of hunting on land. With natural strength, agility, and perfect night vision, death stalkers can stalk and take down prey even in the dead of night. They tear out their prey's throat first to ensure their demise. Many death stalkers prefer to hunt alone, but that doesn't mean they won't work together to take down a tough opponent. Crossing a pack of death stalkers at night means you've basically signed your own death warrant. - (Text from the press kit)

Description

Panthers are carnivores that can appear in almost any environment. They have quite a large aggro radius if they can see you. They typically have a dark colored fur with yellow or orange spotted markings. Its tail has a finned tip.

Combat

Outrunning a panther is difficult, it is better to try to redirect their attention onto other creatures such as sheep. Fighting a panther is ill-advised if you do not have decent combat armor and weapons. Panthers can hit hard and fast so it is better to take them out at range.

Taming

The panther can be tamed. While trying to knock out a panther do not try to outrun it in a straight line as it is much faster than a player. Either gain a height advantage to shoot hooked arrows into it and then run away again to break the tether or circle around the panther and knock it out that way. Once knocked out the panther eats rather slow and its torpidity drains moderately fast.
